A veteran behind the decks Dj Teo Skylark has rocked the crowd from the Mississippi to the Golden Gate for nearly two decades. Formerly on Organized Music with artists Juan Atkins & DJ Boogie out of the Midwestern United States & Flammable Productions out of San Francisco along with Paul Oakenfold & Dj Liquid.
Teo has performed for crowds of over 4,000 people and billed with such legendary acts as, T-1000, Justin Long, Dj Heather of Super Jane, Joeski, Steve Loria, Esp/Woody Mcbride, Kenneth Graham, Garth, Jeno, Thomas & Markie of The Wicked Sound System, Richard Humpty Vision, Dj Irene & Adrianne Sanchez Just to list a few. A Bit of hard, deep, funky house is what defines this mans forte.
After several years of Spinning Clubs & Raves, Teo began producing music & publishing music under the indie label Skylark Recordings, which Teo formed in 2002. Teo continues to Dj shows adding original music and live performance. Teo combines, live percussionists, guitars, wind instruments & Live vocals to each set which has invaded dance floors nationwide.
Skylark Recordings is managed by Teo. As Chief Executive Officer this responsibility includes business operation of activities that maintain, administrate, exploit and capitalize upon the publishing companies current catalog of published and recorded titles. Delegation of all points related to artist relations, artist contracts, intellectual property, published items, production projects, and direction of the record label are part of the daily actives engaged by the companies C.E.O and founder.
Certified in Marketing, Teo’s back ground in entertainment dates back over a decade. A published artist, member of the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), musician, and producer Teo began as a Disc Jokey and Graphic Designer in the early 1990′s. This passion for music drove him to a partnership in the concert production company, To Be Continued Productions.
While producing concerts for the organization Teo nurtured his talents and began to produce music under the guide of Sunshine Recordings. Where Teo worked as a graphic artist and web developer when not engaged in traveling for shows or producing events in Southern California.
Teo’s design work lead him to a career in Art Direction with the Cherokee Group, a licensing company with a vast arsenal of apparel and active lifestyle brands. This includes clothing brands such as Cherokee Shoes, Sideout, Mossimo, Candies Shoes, Shabby Chic and others. The design and music experience lead Teo to pursue his original passion, which is too produce and compose music. Forming the independent record label in 2002, paving the way for others to also pursue their dreams of producing, composing and performing.
Teo continues this relentless pursuit through Skylark Recordings 12th year in business aiming to expand and grow the publishing organization.
